Locations and voyages of the ship
"Nea Hellas" in 1940.
Compiled by Robert L. Baber on 2008 Nov 1 and 2.
The Nea Hellas travelled between Piraeus, Lisbon and New York during
much of the year 1940. Many refugees from Europe sailed to the U.S. on
the
Nea Hellas during this time. After the Italian invasion of Greece in
late October,
the Nea Hellas was put into service as a troop transport.
